200g black dates
100g black beans
some sliced ginger
1.5L water
1) soak black beans until soft, about 1 hour
2) strain the beans
3) rinse black dates & score them
4) put all ingredients into a pot & let it boil
5) when it boils, lower heat & simmer for at least 2 hours
6) serve warm
