Hi Katie Foong, have you try this recipe? If yes, how many tbsp of each herbal you add? And do you wash the herbals before adding into the WK? Thanks

Katie Foong: Of course I did, and I am still doing 2F with it. There is no proportion, taking into consideration that Gojiberries are sweet but osmanthus has a very strong flavour. So, you can mix and match to suit your taste buds. Perhaps, for a start you can use 1/4 tsp osmanthus buds & 2 tsp gojiberries for 1 cup of kefir. As osmanthus buds are bought from Tea House, it is meant to be steeped in hot water, no need to wash. Buy gojiberries that are ready to eat, not those for boiling herbal soup. If you can only get from Chinese Medical shops, then you need to rinse it to get rid of the dust and bits of leaves. Hope this helps. Enjoy your Herbal Kefir Drink.

Katie Foong: Do not throw away the gojiberries after you drink the Kefir, can eat that too.

Hi Katie Foong, do you recommend to throw in astragalus (黄芪) and Angelica root (当归)? Typically these 2 ingredients are seeped in hot water. TIA.

Katie Foong: I have not tried these 2 herbs. Both astragalus and Angelica Roots are considered 'heaty' according to Traditional Chinese Medical. However, I know someone in this group has tried. Just for sharing, unless you have these roots shredded to paper thin, if not it will take you 1-2 hours of simmering to extract its goodness. Hope this explains .......

Judith Chew: OIC. Tks for sharing.

Katie Foong: you are welcome
