GOD KNOWS OUR NEED

In the morning when I was suppose to take a flight back to Ipoh, I
accidentally hurt my back. It was very painful. I dread to think that
when I reach Ipoh, I need to carry my cabin bag to walk down the
flight of iron steps from the plane!

I was contemplating whether to get a wheel chair, but when we
reached Changi Airport, it was too early. We can only checkin at
the Qiosk machine, so cannot request.

After that we sat down to have an early lunch. The pain got worse
that I could not sit down for long! So I walked towards the boarding
gate, hopping onto the travelator whenever I saw one, so it took
away much of the walking.

During boarding, "Ma'am, would you like to check in your cabin bag?"
I was shocked. "Now? Is it free?" He nodded & without hesitation, he
slipped a band through the handle of my luggage and told me to leave
the bag at the gate.

Praise God! This is our God. He cares for us. He knows what we need.
He gives without us asking for it.

Father God, I am sorry I have not passed my burden to you, worrying
unnecessarily. You have healed my back ache within 2 days by your
Healing Words, no doctor, no medication, no therapy. Teach me O God
to be more aware of your ever presence with me. In Jesus blessed name,
I pray and ask, amen.

Miraculous Saving Grace of God

My mom had been a fervent ancestor and idol worshiper for all the days of her life until the last few miraculous days. All family members and friends who came to her wake service were surprised to see a Cross and Bible Verses accompanying my mom as she laid there in the living room, in the house that she spent decades worshiping idols!

On 30th July morning, a day after being admitted to the hospital for fluid retention in her body, my mom shocked us by suddenly singing ‘天堂是我家‘ in Chinese, loud and clear! She did not just sang it once but repeated the same song with enthusiasm to everyone who came to see her that day.

As she was singing this song, the Holy Spirit prompted me to take action, ‘This is the moment’! I asked my mom for permission to contact Pastor Grace, a family friend. My mom had earlier rejected her several times when she wanted to visit her, saying that she did not want to leave her faith at this old age. Praise God that she finally said ‘yes’! The sudden change of mind was a miracle!

When the Pastor came, my mom sang the same song for her too and told the Pastor that Heaven is beautiful because her late husband told her about it. Without hesitation she said the sinners' prayer and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. As everything happened so suddenly, some family members thought that she would probably change her mind the next day, thinking she could have agreed to it at the spur of the moment.

Glory to God! The next day she was firm about her decision when asked by the Pastor and she was baptized and took Holy Communion in the hospital. I was in awe as I witnessed her faith , trusting God in her last days and her complete surrender to God which brought her peace.

She told me Heaven is beautiful and she wanted to go there. She also wished that she could breathe her last with no struggle, best if she could go peacefully in her sleep. I explained to her that now she is a child of God, the Holy Spirit is in her. Jesus loves her and He will surely hear if she asks. We talked about Jesus’ saving grace and His abundant love for her. I explained to my mom how she could pray to Jesus to tell Him her wishes. 

My mom had gone back to the Lord on Sunday 4th August 2019 @ 7am, breathing her last breath in her sleep in a peaceful manner just as she had wished it would be. Praise God for her wish granted.

God is merciful and faithful. The song which my mother had suddenly sang that day was a song she learnt in church near her house, when she was a little girl of 6 or 8 years old. My mom was on a detour for 82 long years. But God is in control. He never give up on my mother.  He patiently waited for her to come back, with His arms opening wide, waiting to receive her, not willing anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. This is our God!  Hallelujah! 

This is God’s love and His miraculous saving grace. All glory be our God Almighty, amen.

HEAL THE SICK

Isaiah 53: 4&5

"Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteem Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed."

Yes, Jesus died for you and me. There is forgiveness and healing for ALL who will accept by faith. Build your faith upon the Word of God. Jesus said in Luke 17:6 that "if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree,'be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you."

Healing is not the special privilege of a favoured few; it is a redemptive right of ALL who believe.  So, if you believe, call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and claim your healing:

Let us pray in faith:

Lord God Almighty, you are the only true and living God. You are great! You are Mighty! We want to praise you and honour you for all that you have done for us, and are still doing for us.  You are worthy of all praise and worship.

Jesus Christ "took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses" (Matthew 8:17) His death on the cross provides an atonement for our sins and healing for the whole man - spirit, soul and body.

It is God's will to heal ALL. Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given you... for everyone asks receives."(Matthew 7:7 &8) Amen. Praise God. This is your Word. We want to build our trust in your word.

Father God, our body is the temple of God. Sickness and pain has no place in our body! We cast it out in the name of Jesus! We reject it in the Mighty name of Jesus! We will not allow it back, amen.

Thank you Lord that you always hear our prayers, and healing is on its way. In Jesus blessed name we give thanks, amen.

HOW MUCH DOES GOD CARE FOR YOU AND ME?

God created the earth and everything that is in it. When he created mankind, He gave dominion of all His creation, the birds in the air, the fish in the seas and all the animals on earth to them. He wanted them to enjoy His creation.

When man sinned because of disobedience, was expelled from the garden of Eden. Suffering, disease and death crept in as a result of sins.

God has not left us on this earth to suffer the consequence of our sins. He 'became flesh and made His dwelling among us' as the person Jesus Christ. (John 1:14). He lived His earthly life as a human, experiencing difficulty, uncertainty, threats and betrayal. He has been through it all and He understands the problems we face today.

Having said that, if we read through the 4 Gospels in the New testament: Mathew, Mark, Luke and John, we get to see all that Jesus has done on earth. He is full of compassion and LOVE for all those around Him. He heals the sick and the broken hearted. He raised the dead.

His life-giving love continues even after Jesus was crucified and gone back to be with the Father, and seated at the right hand of God. He has not left us orphaned. God send us His Holy Spirit to live in us, continue to guide us and to teach us. He promise to never leave us nor forsake us.

God's powerful restoration is still available to all of us if we trust His unfailing love and call upon Him. God knows what we want before we pray. As we open our mouth to pray, the Holy Spirit will lead us and guide us. Jesus, who sits at the right hand of God intercedes for us too.

God the Father has provided the way for us to go. All we need to do is simply believe and trust in His promises and claim our inheritance as children of God. God did not give up on us when we sinned. As a loving Father, He provided the way that we can still be in His great plan.

By now, I am sure you are able to answer this question:

How much does God care for you and me?

Praise God, for He is good. His plans for us are good, amen.

Jesus is our Healer

He is the great Physician

Call on His name and He will hear you from Heaven

Call out to Him and He will be right there for you. 

Trust Him,

Good evening all,

My name is Melissa. 11^th June, 2016 was an important and memorable date as this was the day that I got baptized in the church.  On that day I became a daughter of God and a disciple of Jesus Christ.  And this was witnessed by all my brothers & sisters in Christ.  As the Pastor was praying over me in the Name of the Father, Son & the Holy Spirit, I was overcome by the love of God.  I feel the presence of the spirit from my head to toe. And I felt such joy that I have never felt before and deep in my heart I felt a sense of liberty.  I quietly told the Lord this ‘O, Lord I am thankful for your saviour and setting me free from sin, suffering and bondages, and for making me a brand new person.  I am willing to follow you, to serve you and to glorify your name with my life.

I remember being in church for the first time back in 1995.  It was when I first went to America to visit my brother.  I followed him to church one Sunday.  I felt peace and calmness the moment I stepped into the church.  And the church members were very friendly which made me feel loved.  At that time, listening to the sermon was like listening to a story; very interesting.  That was my first encounter with Jesus.  After that, my brother keeps sharing the word of God with me.  Very quickly, 3 weeks of holidays had ended.  After I came back home, due to my family and work commitment, I stopped attending church.  It was until the year 2000 that I visited my brother again in USA together with my parents to attend his wedding that I stepped into a church again.

In 2003, my brother came back for a visit.  As he came to my house and saw idols, he asked me why I was still worshipping those.  I kept quiet but in my heart I was wondering how come my brother was condemning other people’s religion?  After that incident, it had caused me to dislike Christianity and I had no interest in Christianity or getting to know God.

I had a failed marriage which caused me a lot of suffering and torment.  I had many emotional breakdowns. I cried every day.  I couldn’t concentrate on my job, couldn’t sleep at night.  I even thought of ending my life.  As a result, I suffered from various illnesses.  I needed to get my life back and so I asked for a divorce.  It was a rough journey but eventually me and my unfaithful husband separated.  I was devastated and fell into depression and developed auto-immune disease.  All these health issue caused me even more anxiety and heartache.

After giving birth to my daughter in 1997, I was terribly anemic and was suspected of having thalassemia.  I had to go through some blood tests.  But, since I have very low hemoglobin and also having jaundice, thus unable to proceed with the blood tests. I was on medication for 6 months but only barely managed to sustain to go for blood tests.  The medical report showed that it wasn’t thalassemia but I had a severe iron deficiency.  Only 0.2mcg of iron left in my body which means I could die anytime.  The doctor recommended blood transfusion but I refused, not wanting other people’s blood in me.  I was really unaware that my life was at risk.  After many years of treatment, that wasn’t much improvement.  Until 2006, the doctor found some suitable medications for me.  After consuming it for few months, my hemoglobin shot up.  Oh! I was so happy! At that time although I was still a Buddhist but my thought was that it was God that saved me and he used the doctors to heal me.  Praise God.

So in 2006, I underwent a few operations.  And one of them was to remove an ovarian fibroid.  After that, I bought a health insurance policy but it excluded the coverage for my uterus.  Now, it has been 10 years since the operation and my gynecologist said I am doing well.  Then I did an extensive medical check-up in April 2016 and showed and submitted the result to my insurer.  I requested that they waive the exclusion in the coverage of my uterus.  In August that same year, my insurer informed me that the company has approved my application.  Now, I have full coverage on my healthcare.  I am thankful that God heard and answered my prayers.  One by one God has granted answers to my prayers.  This is my first gift from God after my water baptism.  I am grateful to God for His protection and care.

Before coming to God, I was a pessimist, full of fear and guilt, feeling hopeless and restless.  I would suddenly burst into tears and overcame by my anxiety.  This was the work of the enemy.  One week before my water baptism, I removed all idols from my home and I felt the peace of God fill my heart.  I was free from worries and pain.

The difference before and after my baptism is this:-
Now in my everyday life, I have peace, joy and hope for my future.  Even my colleagues see the change in me.  Now I know that God holds everything in his hands.  Even when there is trouble, I can surrender it to God as I know we have limits to what we can do.  I also understand that God has different ways and means for each one of us to come to know Him.  I can feel God’s love for me eventhough I am a sinner.  I can feel the faith and strength that God has given me.

我叫丽琴。你们也可以叫我Melissa.  在2016年6月11日这重要的日子里，我就在我一直想到的桂和园卫理教会受洗；成为上帝的儿女，主耶稣的门徒。我亲爱的女儿以及众多的主内弟兄姐妹一起见证了这时刻。当牧师奉圣父，圣子，圣灵的名为我施洗时，主的爱、神的灵立刻充满了我。从未有过的喜乐和释放从我内心涌流。我轻轻地对主说：主啊！我感谢你救我脱离罪恶，脱离苦难和捆绑而成为一个新造的人。我愿一生一世跟随你、侍奉你、荣耀你！

记得我第一次去教会就是在1995年，第一次去美国探望我哥的时候。我跟随我哥到教会做礼拜。一步入教会，就有一种舒服、平安、宁静的感觉。教会的弟兄姐妹们全都和蔼可亲，让我感到关怀与爱。那时侯，听牧师讲道就好像听故事一样，很有趣。在美国初遇耶稣后，我哥也开始向我传达上帝的话语。三个星期的旅游很快就过去。回国后，因为工作和家庭忙碌的关系，我就没到教会了。直到2000年的时候，我带着我爸妈去美国参加我哥的婚礼，再次步入教堂。

在2003年，我哥回马看望爸妈。他也到我家探望我。他见我家有拜偶像，然后就问我为什么还在拜拜？我没回答他。心里想为何我哥信主后会那样批评别人的宗教信仰？他那句话使我开始对基督教有些反感。从此以后，我对基督教和要进一步认识上帝也不感兴趣了。

我曾经有过失败的婚姻。饱受折磨。甚至崩溃。每天眼泪洗脸，无法专注在工作上，晚间无法入睡。就想着要上吊结束生命。各方面的压力导致我百病缠身。为了活下来而不被折磨下去，我提出离婚。经过艰苦的过程，终于和出轨的丈夫分开。而我也心力交瘁，患了忧郁症，自身免疫系统失调等。那么多的健康问题使我很困扰和悲伤。

 

在1997年生产后，我有严重贫血而被怀疑患有地中海贫血。要进一步检查也抽不到血。

吃补药打针六个月才勉强得到一点血。检查报告出来说我不是地中海贫血。而是严重缺铁。

导致造血困难。只剩0.2mcg的铁，随时可以死掉。医生建议输血。但我害怕输入别人的血。

却没想到我随时都会丢命。经过多年的医治，我的贫血问题还不见有好转。直到在2006年，

医生终于找到最适合的药物治疗。吃了多个月后，我的红血球字数上升。太好，太高兴了！

虽然那时我是个佛教徒，但我却想到一定是上帝来拯救我。让医生可以对症下药来医治我。

我感谢上帝。

在2006年，我做过多次手术。其中一个手术是切除子宫肌瘤。手术后，我买了一份医药保险。但保险公司排除子宫保险。经过十年的检查，妇科医生说我一切都很好。然后，我就在2016年4月做了一个详细的检查。拿检查报告呈交给保险公司。申请除去十年前的排除子宫保险。在2016年8月，保险公司通知我，说我的申请已批。我子宫也受保了。我感谢上帝聆听我的祷告。他一一地回答我的祷告。这是我受洗后，上帝给于我的一份美好的应许/礼物。我感谢上帝他的看护与保守。

其实在我信主之前，我是个很悲观，对人生充满焦虑，恐惧，不安，有罪恶感的人。信主之后还没洗礼前，我还会无端端哭泣，忧郁。也许是撒旦魔鬼在搅扰我。一个星期受洗前除了偶像后，我感觉上帝就在这时空进入我心。我顿然没有了忧郁和悲伤。

对比洗礼后的今天和信主之前，最大的不同是我每天的生活中，多出了很多的平安和喜乐，也对未来抱有盼望。我同事都看到不一样的我。

现在知道是神在掌管一切，有什么问题，全都交托于神。因为我们的力量有限。我也能体会到神给每个人安排了最适合的方式来认识他。我能感受到神的爱尽管我有过犯。我也依然能感受到神给我的心信和力量。

GOD IS IN CONTROL

Let God be in control

Life is not without its ups and downs. Trials and tribulations come and go. As imperfect beings, we often struggle in relationships, with pride as the main culprit. Lack of humility, thinking that we are the gifted lot, eventually leads us to disappointments and regrets.

As human beings we are weak, but God is strong! We are not able to control every situation. No, but God can! God is the only all-powerful one! Compare to the one who laid the foundations of the Earth, we are like the pebbles along the beach!

Then, you may ask,: Are we not at the mercy of God?

Always remember that our God is a good God. He loves us so much that He gave His one and only Son to die for our sins, to reconcile us back to Him! So that whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life! Can anyone fathom the depth and width of His great love? He has all the good and best gifts laid out for us. He even calls us His sons. How can we still doubt Him, and not trust Him, after seeing the anguish and pain that He has gone through to redeem us?

God's favour is always upon us! Run to Him as you would to your Father. Surrender your problems, your fear and difficult situations to God. He will gladly hear you and take control of the situation if you let Him. Remember our God is big, bigger than all your problems! To Him nothing is impossible!  He is able to cause good to come out of every situations, for His love always protects and never fails, amen.

THE GRACE OF GOD IS NEVER TOO FAR

MY PRAYERS

No one is stronger than You, O God

Your right hand, O Lord, smashes the enemy. 

In the greatness of your Majesty,

You overthrow those who rise against You

Let all that I am praise the Lord. 

O Lord my God, how great You are 

You place the world on its foundation,

In wisdom you created everything on the earth.

I will exalt You my God and King, 

And praise your name forever and ever. 

You are worthy of all praise and honor. 

I will sing with joy about your righteousness

You made the heavens and the earth. 

O Sovereign Lord Nothing is too difficult for You. 

You are great and powerful. 

You perform miraculous signs and wonders,

Trust God, commit our ways to Him, 

Rest in Him, the struggles and trials may still be there

but He will give us peace in the midst of them, amen

HOW GOD WANTS US TO LIVE OUR LIVES

As human we have our selfish ideas
Thinking that God is just like one of us
Everything belongs to Him
And that we are under His control!

God is fair! He always gives us a choice
He is not a tyrant Nor an un-reachable God
He provided for us even before we were born
He has every right to take control over us.

He sacrificed His one and only Son
The sinless one, hung on the tree
Just to reconcile us back to Him
So that we can call Him Abba Father

The Father's abundant love for us
Is clearly shown in the cross
And by His stripes we have been healed
Body, soul and spirit!

By this, we know that God wants us to live
An abundant life, free of pain & sufferings
Then, why does God still allow sufferings?
Know you not it is our choice?

Turn back to God and He will make all things right
He will comfort you and heal your brokenness
His heart aches even more when we are in pain
Seeing us not accepting His provision in the cross

Remember our God is a good And faithful God
He forgets your sins and accepts you as you are
Gives you the privilege of a son
And let you come face to face with Him

This is our God, ever so forgiving
So, do not go on a detour anymore
Come back to Him
His wide open arms are waiting for you.

GOD OF HOPE

How many of us Are willing to let go
And ask God to take control of our lives?
Especially we think that God is so far away
And that He is too busy to hear our cries?

Have you ever ponder on His Words and His promises?
Is God really out of sight and out of mind?
If you dare to try God, you will surely see God's hand
For if we call out His name, He will surely hear us!

He is not far from us. He is right here with us.
We believe that our body is the temple of God
And that He never leaves us Nor forsake us
He is more than willing to stretch out His helping hands!

Many of us tend to forget what God has done for us, and
Not giving Glory to God for what He has done in our lives
Instead, murmuring about our prayers not answered
And also being blinded by the circumstances around us!

Since the beginning of time, God has plans for His children
He is a good God, undoubtly His plans are good
Trust Him and He will guide us to embark on His plan
We will see Hope if we will let Him take control of our lives!

GOD IS FAITHFUL

"There are so many people praying, asking God for help.
Can God really hear us?
Can He remember what I asked for?
Will He attend to my requests?"

Indeed, there are thousands of people praying
We are all like sand pebbles on the un-ending beach
unattractive and not outstanding
How can He be aware that we are around?

Remember that our God promised to be with us always
He will never leave us nor forsake us
Be assured that God can surely hear everyone of us
and He always answers our prayers, in His time

Why? Because He loves us abundantly
God calls us His own.  How can He forget His own children?
God our father is both anxious and delighted to hear us
His outstretched arms are there waiting for us to run to Him

The cross demonstrates His great love for us
He gave His only son, the sinless, to die for us, the sinful ones
So that we can be reconciled back to Him
Penalty of sin has been fully paid on the cross

He cleanse us of all wrong with His precious blood
So that we can come to Him righteous
as sons of God and be accepted into the Kingdom of God
Nothing we need to do, but through the Grace of God, amen

My Prayers

Recalling how I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior
I can't deny that I am blessed abundantly
Life may still go on without Jesus then
But I am very sure it would not be what I am today

If it was not for Jesus in the year 2008
I could have been dead, believing and trusting man  
He walked and stood with me against the dreadful disease
Giving me visions and assurance that He would be glorified

I was able to see my 2nd daughter married in the same year
My hubby gave thanks to the Lord, witnessing and
Glorified Him during the wedding Reception
Touching the hearts of many who know of it for the first time

Lord God has blessed me with 4 lovely and caring daughters
Chin, Yee & Doreen are married to 3 wonderful sons-in-law
I know He has already planned a godly husband for Fong Fong
I put my trust in You O God,  for You have good plans for her

I am not be a perfect daughter to God, but
I know God loves me just as much as before
He is always by my side, watching over me 
Ever ready to pick me up if I happen to trip

So many years have passed, He is still so faithful
He has blessed me with 2 smart grandchildren by Chin
I know God has plans for my other married girls too 
His sovereign plan is always perfect as He knows what is best

 

Dear Lord Jesus

I am like a sand pebbles on the seashore
And yet you found me and gave me life
You love me beyond words could express

You bless me with a Godly husband
whose loving kindness encourages me and
My walk with you through troubles and storms

All that I am, I give you praise
I will glorify you for all that you have done
And thank you for watching over me and my family

You are the only true and living God
I strongly believe that if I delight in You
You will grant me the desires of my heart

In Jesus blessed name I pray, amen 

THE FATHER'S HEART

Pastor Benny Ho once said, "We are like L-plate drivers navigating through life with a driving instructor by our side. He will let us navigate & drive, but when there is danger, he has another brake pad that he can use to override whatever we are doing.  That is why we have security in the sovereignity of God" 

He is no tyrany.  He will not force his way through.  He give us a choice at many points in life.  Yet, he still watch over us for the choice we made, if necessary He will give us a turning point if we are willing to take it.

This is our God, a gentleman in His ways.  We break His hearts when we disobey Him but He does not hate us for that. His love for us is still the same. He hates sins but He loves the sinners. If not, He will not die for us on the cross to redeem us from the penalty of sin, death!

Come to God as you are. He has no favourites. He loves every one of us.  You just need to call on Him and He will be there for you. 

Do not worry about your previous sins because He knows you well.  Nothing can escape His knowledge. So, just come, repent and surrender your worry, your burden to Him and let Him settle everything for you. Remember, He is waiting for you with open arms. He will wipe away your tears. He promise to wash away your sins and remember them no more. He is ever so forgiving. 

The Heavens will rejoice even when one person repent and come back to Him. Do you want to be that person?

The first time I read this letter

I was  really touched

How can this God, so Great and Mighty

is my Father
and He even calls me His offspring

I am so small

like a sand particle on the unending sea-shore

and yet He knows so much about me

He cares for me

He loves me even before I know Him
